They have been up for a while and now is the time to restore your solar systems efficiency to make you more $$$$!
Book now for 2016!
Restore your panels to maximize their efficiency and in turn your profits!
We clean solar panels.
Our mobile setup allows us to clean and restore your system regardless of where it is located or how large it is.
Solar panel cleaning is as normal as window cleaning in other parts of the world that have been using solar panels for some time. Here in Ontario the microFIT and FIT solar panel incentive programs are relatively new so as a result almost all systems that are up and running are recent as well. If you have not yet considered getting your panels cleaned we hope to provide you with enough information that you can make an informed decision.
Background
To be overly simplistic solar panels are a large piece of glass outdoors exposed to the elements and, in many cases, installed on the edge of a field. They will get dirty from dirt, dust, saps, pollen, smog, pollution, vehicle exhaust, bird droppings, pesticides and fertilizer sprays. Rain does a good job of rinsing off loose dust but it doesn't restore the glass to its original clarity. In fact the evaporating rain water leaves dirt particles and pollutants behind that the next rain can't wash off leading to an opaquing of the solar panels glass over time. One only has to look so far as the windows in our homes and what a difference it makes to look out freshly cleaned ones as opposed to dirty ones and to see the extra sunlight shining through.
Does anyone look forward to a heavy rain so that afterwords their car, home windows, or truck can be considered clean again?
In addition if your panel gets dusty and dirty after planting season and it doesn't rain for some time it could have a significant
impact on your solar production. For this reason we feel that after planting season is a great time to consider getting your panels cleaned.
As solar panels age they will decrease in productivity. It is for this reason that most systems are over built. That is to say for example a 10kw system may be installed as an 11 or 12kw system, although it can only ever output 10kw as per the incentive program, to help offset decreased efficiency over time. For this reason a new system will output full power - 10kw - on a good day even if it was loosing 10-20% of its full potential due to being dirty.
